As mentioned in the breeding section, we only really breed a litter whenever we need to keep a puppy ourselves, however we do have a steady stream of good, working/family bitches which have all used on of our stud dogs. All visiting bitches have been hip scored and have a current clear eye certificate but many have had more health checks carried out.
PLANNED 2012 CONTENDER LITTER : Sire: RIVERSWAY BOSUN ( FT.Ch Hatchfield Feargal ex Speycast Teal of Riversway) - (Hips: 2/2, Elbows: 0/0, BVA- eye Cert.: Current clear, PRA-DNA (Optigen) : Clear, CNM-DNA: Clear). Dam: CONTENDER CHILLI (Hips: 4/5, BVA-eye Cert.: Clear (11/01-12), PRA-DNA (Optigen): Carrier, CNM-DNA: clear by parentage). This is CHILLI's very last litter (she will be spayed afterwards) and the I've chosen RIVERSWAY BOSUN. This is never easy: there are many super dogs out there but it's finding 'the right one' for my line and bitch which makes it slightly harder. As usual, I'm trying to balance ability, temperament and build up against various health checks - add dark yellow colour to the mix and it's getting rather complicated. RIVERSWAY BOSUN is after the legendary dog FT.CH HATCHFIELD FEARGAL and on his dam's side you'd find FT.CH BIRDBROOK TEAK - click on the link below for full litter pedigree. Chilli has just come into season which means that the litter will be due mid-April and the puppies will be ready to leave mid/end of June. There should be both dark yellow/fox red and black puppies in this litter. |

LITTERS SIRED BY CONTENDER STUD DOGS:
There should be two litters sired by CONTENDER CASSANOVA - one is due end of Febuary and the other at the beginning of March. Both bitches have current 'clear' Eye cert. have been hip and elbow scored.
Litter one is linebred back to FT.CH GARENDON CAPTAIN with several other well know dogs in the pedigree. This bitch is a family dog and is also being worked through out the shooting season, mainly picking-up. The owner is an experienced breeder, KC- ABS and will be able to help and advice any potential puppy buyers - the litter is expected to have both black and yellow/dark yellow puppies.
